All ready to go! Now, are there any Oppos who want to hang out on my road trip back home?

Looks like I’ll be crossing quite a number of states on the way home. I’m willing to make short distance detours from my route. This will be happening Saturday afternoon.

Kinja'd!!!

Also, I booked an Uber and got my plane ticket, so now I just wait for Saturday! I think I might also give Tucker one last drive...I mean, there’s a high chance I’ll be his first and last owner due to the crazy cost of repairing/replacing the engine...so I think he deserves one last hurrah before being parted out...or wherever he’ll end up.

My road trip back will take 30 hours and 2,000 miles. I don’t have a tight itinerary, I’m not due for the new job for a week anyway. I want to make it the best road trip ever.

If you take the blue route as shown through Nebraska, you’ll be 20 minutes from me. Not sure when you’ll make it to there.

Are you flying solo on this roadtrip? I just did Philadelphia to St. Louis and back in 40 hours and it was terrible.

If I wasn’t already going to be busy replacing an engine this weekend, I’d have been willing to hang when you swung through Omaha (if you were taking the blue route).

I suggest taking the southern route until you hit Denver. Then go north up I25 and hit the northern route. This will take you through the black hills and you could check out Mt. Rushmore if you want. But more importantly there is a little road around there referred to as something like 16a. IMO one of the best driving roads in the country. Most importantly, South Dakota and Minnesota are much more scenic than Nebraska and Iowa. Or just take the northern route the whole way.

I hope you’re planning to stop at some point for sleep. And for f***s sake don’t make this a cross-country speed run! (I know you!) I don’t wanna hear about you getting deaded, or jailed in some back-water town in BFE!

Have a good time, you crazy kid!

30 hours of driving on Saturday afternoon? Damn! Did you get Alex Roy or Ed Bolian to tag along or what?

Great riding/driving roads in the black hills, but I would honestly Say Wyoming is more scenic than Colorado (I know, flame suit on). The big horn range is out of the way but its beautiful.

Two questions: Does it fit in the back of a Ford Ranger?

If yes, will you take $200?

You may be right. Colorado is just a bit more green overall. Both are beautiful.

My trip actually starts in LA (I’m flying there on Saturday)! For whatever reason, Google Maps wouldn’t display the correct route unless I plotted the route in reverse.

Yep! I’m riding solo! Hence my desire to stop somewhere to meet an Oppo or something.

I’m up for beers in Denver.

Or whiskey.

Or my personal favorite, tequila.

Or weed if you are feeling a little adventurous.

Sounds like that’s two votes for Nebraska, because we are the best state.

Wyoming is much more beautiful than Colorado. Outside of the Rockies, Colorado ain’t got much to look at.

Seeing as your road trip is decidedly NOT near Nova Scotia in any way, I will be unable to join you for meet-up-ness.
